Entails break-out sessions, and participants in academia, the legislature, business sector, and the community will create an action plan of change for their topic.
The Education Summit 2022: Systems Change will focus on big ideas and challenges in education. Our team has chosen five topics to address: community relations, curriculum transformation, discipline redesign, human resources, and social-emotional health and well-being. These issues hit at the very core of inequity in education.
The Education Summit 2022: Systems Change is an inaugural event for Kansas and Missouri. Academia, legislators, businesses, and the community will unite to discuss and create action plans of change in community relations, curriculum transformation, discipline redesign, human resources, and social-emotional health and well-being. Together, working collaboratively and respectfully, we can create a more effective and equitable education for each student in Kansas and Missouri.
The summit was inspired by exceptional work occurring in the Kansas City Metropolitan area and other regions in Kansas and Missouri; educational conferences on best practices, workshops on equity in education, data-driven projects to promote awareness and advocacy, and social justice movements in schools. The Education Summit 2022: Systems Change is the next step in achieving a more effective and equitable education for each student in Kansas and Missouri. The summit unites academia, legislators, businesses, and the community to work collaboratively for better results in education. Join us.
